WHEELS JAMAICA "CAR HALL OF FAME"
« on: September 24, 2010, 10:01:25 PM »
Was thinking we should honor all those that came and made their mark in the local motor sport (drag or circuit).
3-5 cars should be inducted each year

categories would include:

1 the car's presence @ race meets.

2. winning its respective class.

3. overall performance.

NO trailer queens r park up and watch cars, dat nuh mek it, any other ideas are welcome.

I guess moderators can then decide how to get a voting system going and all a dat.
You keep hearing who and who have which beast driving, so i think i we should highlight these monsters of the 1/4 mile or circuit,
and remember, this would b about the cars and not the drivers.

my 1st nominee would b the banana, dat car was jus a bad a$$.

Ye..I believe "hall of fame" would suggest some machines that have been around for a while..most of these cars are recent ones.. Eg. Ron Rowe's Rx-7, 10 second street car in its days, Nantwi Cokes Ford Escort, 11 second street driving car back then..etc

I understand the criteria and all Boyz Evo would be a definite pick. 1st 4 banger in Ja to run low 9 and doing so consistently

...and Chuku DX Corolla wagon was 1stToyota to do 10 sec...

I elect spi's old ep82 and even his current ep71 starlet. Those cars were always driven to and from the track and then used to carry his son and daughter to school. Those two starlets are legendary and have set a trend interms of what starlets can do and why the cost so much these. Days. The white one in particular has won so many races its frightening. The silver/gray one used to win tropheys from before nuff of us could drive. I ellect those two cars as one. Sort of like a package. Must can go into the hall of fame.

This is wat im talking bout Chaddy. If u have the money anyone can get a 9 second car but to have a reliable 9 second car is a whole different story. Spi has proven that his machines can run the same low times back to back all day with no issue.  [thumbsup]
