Trip Computer
« on: May 23, 2014, 07:34:49 PM »
I am looking for a trip computer that can be plugged on to my car's unboard computer via OBDII connection that will tell me distance travel, Max speed, fuel consumed, avg speed etc. I bought a bluetooth connector and was going to use my android phone as one (using Torque), but the connector dont seem to work on my car (07 Caldina GT4).

Can anybody recommend something that will be able to work here on my car? Was looking at scanguage or bully dog, but what else is out there that can work on my car for a fact?

Something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Computer-ATC430-Security-Diagnose-Consumption/dp/B00CCYWKUA/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1400892731&sr=8-8&keywords=trip+computer

It would be good too if it can diagnose and fix trouble codes too, that would be a +.

Help?

I have the same adapter and it pairs with the Torque app to 2001 Type R, 2011 Mazda Axela and 2010 Subaru Impreza.
Not sure why it's not pairing with your car.
Procedure:
Plug in adapter
Turn the car to on without starting (wait till you see the pairing on the app then start)

Btw which phone you using?

Try it on a Toyota and let me know if it works.
Toyota, and Suzuki ECUs are unique in my opinion and encrypted somewhat, so traditional protocols don't work (for me when I try).
