Turbo turbine housing identification
« on: December 28, 2015, 05:58:18 PM »
Need some help identifying a turbine housing.

What I have so far:
1. It was attached to a Td05 16g turbo.
2. It seems to be a Td06 housing with a standard T3 flange and 3-bolt dump

Identifying marks :
1. It has emotor 25 stamped on one side
2. A 10 inside the t3 flange
3. 78-14300 stamped on the other side (Google has led me to believe this is mistu part number)

What I need to know:
1. What ar is this?

I will edit this post to attach pictures as soon as I remember my photobucket login. Pics:

Edit: It seems it is actually a TD05 10cm^2 (what ever that means) housing. Still need more info.

I have a new .70 housing that came with the turbo originally but want to know what effect that will have on the way it builds boost etc. Engine is a 3S-GTE in a caldina GTT in case it matters.

Edit 2: As per the link below the 10cm^2 housing should translate into an ar ratio of roughly .73 thus I will take the plunge and convert the dump pipe and manifold to use this new housing. If this is incorrect please let me know.
