Tyre Discussion : Kumho ps31 vs Falken ze912
« on: February 2, 2017, 01:18:14 PM »
Driving a FWD car with 17 inch rims i have been using the  Falken ZE912 tyres and so far i can say that they are quiet, handling on rails, the wear is a bit fast.

Looking for new tyres and I have my eye on the Kumho ps31 which is a newer replacement for the Ku31.  Does anyone know what has changed?

Other options I have been looking at is the Sumitomo HTR z iii which seems expensive but should give about the same handling as the falkens since they come from the same company.

The ZE912 handles the wet a little bit better than the Kumho, that aside they are more or less on par.

As for the difference, my tire dealer tells me the PS31 is less noisy than the KU31 and the ability to handle wet conditions is improved.

Looks like the kumho ps31 are worth a try
