WTK: Benz average service costing
« on: June 24, 2018, 10:37:29 PM »
Good Day Gents,

I recently moved to jamrock and i’m interested in purchasing a 2nd hand benz, year 2011- 2015 preferably. I would like to enquire of the general service costing by the benz firm vs an “outside” mechanic. Also, does jam have capable “outside” mechanics? Are the mechanical parts over priced? Insurance kills you? Lol. Thank you in advance for your support and information.

Depending on what the service involves servicing at the dealership it can cost anywhere from 80k for the basic service, fluids, pads, filters to 200k for more complex service involving bushings, suspension and front end components. For parts the dealership only has the most basic parts available locally most other parts will have to be special ordered upon request of the customer.

All the above is with regard to a 2011 C 180 serviced from new at Silver Star Motors.

Hope this helps
