I think is a great car. Chassis tweaked bu the same people who created the FRS/BRZ, so is should handle exceptionally well. The partnership with BMW ensures good interior quality. While the old Supra was legendary, it really was a one trick pony, lots of power in a straight line, never seen a Supra track car. the quote below taken from speedhunters.com sums up my thoughts to the TEE.

"As is the way of the internet, the indignant are always the loudest, so you would be forgiven for thinking that the entire world was up in arms about the new Supra. Im not sure what these people were expecting. Toyota were hardly going to put a 28 year old engine into a new chassis or invest an absurd amount of money into creating an all new 3JZ for a product that will likely be relatively low volume, just to appease the tough folk of the internet. Folk, who for the most part, will never buy the new car anyways."
With great power comes great responsibility.

Well said

It better than nothing lol

The old supra never appealed to me much compared to the gtr for example, plus they only made one shape

Toyota hasn't been doing anything lately so this supra is a well needed addition to nothing [lg_rofl]

I get what the reasoning is nigo but most of the gtr lovers still wont be able to buy a new gtr... but nissan still made one that satisfied bout buyer and fan... so its not out the box to expect the same company that made the lfa to be able to also quench the buyers and fans thirst for a good looking car

Agreed, and no doubt they could have made a better effort. But i think the LFA you brought up may be one reason they did things this way lol, they lost money on every LFA they sold, and we know Toyota is all about volume sales, so they went the cheap partnership route. I think it would have been better received if they branded it a new celica of and new Toyota 86

Ill probably get one but i wasnt too pleased that Toyota gave the iconic Supra name to a half breed. That said its a great car just not a supra replacement.
