I wouldn't, personally.  I'd just get a proper shock (Yellows or something made for the shorter springs), or coils if I needed to slam the car.  I run H&Rs on OEM shocks now, but they'll only last so long due to the reduced travel.

You know that if you get some extended strut mounts, the ride comfort and life of the shocks will improve... tried/tested/proven...

lets put it this way, i am a diy person, my ride is a e30, so i have the advantage of using different inserts, i used a pair of camry inserts that had shorter travel than my e30 then after i cut 2 coils from the front springs i also cut the treaded area off the inserts and had it re treaded, wen re assembling i had 2 use the spring clamps just a little, car handling better since then no springs got effed up and no bouncing up and down, also did this on my ef hatch civic 3yrs ago  [eyebrows]

Cutting your spring can jeopardize the integrity of the spring and can make the springs weak. It can give a rough ride too

I was never a fan of spring cutting... buy a set of lowering springs and you'll be good to go.... that way there won't be any issues.  [thumbsup]
